Beta on Google Play

Ledge for Android opens the notes on your own server, a Mac or a Linux machine, over ssh, as the iPhone app does. It runs on Android 10 or newer.

It is in an open beta, and anyone can join. Google Play lists a new app publicly only after testers have used it for two weeks, so until then it installs through the three steps below.

1. Join the testers group

   Sign in with the Google account you use on your phone, then choose Join group. Other testers cannot see your address.

2. Opt in on Google Play

   With the same account, choose Become a tester. Play can take a few minutes to see that you joined the group.

3. Install Ledge Notebook

   Install it from Google Play on your phone. Updates arrive through Play like any other app.

Then pair it with a server

The app needs a server to connect to before it shows anything. Ledge on Your Phone covers pairing with a code, and setting up a server if you do not have one.

Leaving the beta

Leave the group, or choose Leave the program from the opt-in page. The app stays installed. Ledge is free and open source, and its issues are on GitHub.
